Red berries in snow-winter

Some more winter photos; this time some red berries in the snow.
I captured these red berries hanging from snow-laden branches of a bush mainly for the scene itself.

The berries are not so pretty and I don't know what they are.

Here is a close-up, the berries look better in the sunlight.

I like it a lot - two things that don't belong together - fruit and snow. They look great in a photo together - something unseal. Similar to the flowers and snow you had the other day. I guess it is a lot warmer where you are - because all our flowers and fruits die from cold even before the snow gets here. I got some photos of apples and snow earlier this year and I was very excited because this is the first time I saw something like that. Red apples and white snow :-)

A beautiful series of photos. The red on white is striking. This just proves there is color in all seasons if we take the time to look.
